PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Structural Fire Fighting Prop at Luzerne County Community College is the largest and most dynamic fire training tower in the region.

The six level tower provides a Class "A" burn room, six gas simulated burn rooms, and 8 situational rooms dedicated to operations such as search & rescue. Students have the ability to master repelling from the 5th floor roof top and practicing attic access via a "chop out" roof panel.

The two largest floors in the tower can be reconfigured with maze panels to create unique training sessions each time students train at the facility. The entire prop can be controlled and monitored from a remote location by instructors and administrative staff located at the administration building.
