PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main structure of the Howard County Public Safety Training Campus is the Administration / Fitness / Classroom Building.

The building was designed to allocate appropriate amounts of dedicated space to the two separate public safety entities Fire and Rescue, and Police. In order to create a more functional facility and encourage inter-department coopearation common, shared spaces were designed throughout the building.

Both police and fire administration staff share space throughout the second floor and provides approximately 10,500 SF of office space. On the lower floor cadets and department personnel share roughly 35,000 SF of common spaces such as classrooms, special education spaces, conference rooms, and gymnasiums which include both a defensive/grappling tactics room and a fully functioning health and fitness center.
