Manns Woodward Studios was approached by the Grasonville Volunteer Fire Department to assist them in determining the feasibility of expanding upon their existing station.
After a comprehensive feasibility study and programming study it was determined that it would be cost prohibitive to modernize the existing structure and that a new, much larger station would be required to meet their needs and the steady increase in localized response calls.
To accommodate the stations requirement to remain operational during construction we carefully configured the new station on the same site so that the existing building could remain in operation throughout construction. The new station will provide the department with a new 28,000 S.F. building complete with four large drive thru apparatus bays, a commercial kitchen, administrative offices, a large dayroom, a training room and segregated locker and bunk areas large enough to sleep 28 members.
